Everything but the Leaves

As I mentioned yesterday, the crisp Fall air certainly showed itself to us here in DC this past weekend. In fact, the temps we had are normally what we see in the last weeks of November. No joke – I could even slightly see my breath on Sunday! When I was outside, I made sure to wear my favorite brown Steve Madden boots and a Pashmina wrapped around my neck!

And when I was inside, I looked like this:

Mmmm… fur hoodies!

And, mmmm… comfy Ugg-ish slippers because my feet are always cold!

This weekend I also made another trip to the local Farmers Market where I sampled some yummy cherry apple cider! I LOVE seeing what fun Fall things they’ll have out on display. I think the barrels of hay with the pumpkins on them are always so cute! Unfortunately, the Farmers Market was hay-less.

Anyone else a white chocolate fan like me? These bad boys are amazing! Hands down, the best thing you can get from this Farmers Market :)

The next day was full of errands and shopping {for a bomber/moto jacket} and a trip to a kitchen/bathroom appliance showroom aka Pinterest in the flesh. Pictures from there to come!

It was definitely a chilly/rainy day so what better way to get warm than to stop and enjoy some delicious pumpkin treats before heading back out?

I don’t usually get it with the whipped cream, but hey, I considered it my “dessert” for the weekend ;)

It truly felt like Fall this weekend {minus the GORGEOUS orange, yellow, and red leaves} and I kept thinking to myself, “I love this!” Call me crazy, but I love the click of my wedge boots on the wet pavement and the chill of that crisp Autumn wind on my face. Each season has its special qualities and I’m remembering to appreciate each one.

I’m excited to watch as the leaves transform from a forest of green to a sea of vibrant colors.

What’s your favorite way to stay warm in the Fall?

I can't wait for the leaves to turn!! It is my absolute favorite part of fall :)

And I can't wait for it to be cold enough down here in Mississippi for me to throw on my Uggs and sit in front of the fireplace!!

I wanna say "BOO YOU WHORE!" because it's still in the 90s almost here!!!!!!! And fall is my favorite favorite favorite SEASON! This makes me soooo jealous. I loved every single picture. And what you described is EVERYTHING I love about fall. I want to move there. I'm still sweating in Texas. WAAAAH!

Did I mention how gorge you look in the first pic? You look great with the darker hair!

You look amazing and are one of the few people who can pull off a picture in a fuzzy hoodie! I like the darker hair - it's so warm and goes well with your complexion.

Mmmm a Panera pumpkin muffin! I had one for breakfast this morning (because as sad as it sounds, I stock up on them when I'm there because I may or may not be addicted)

I think you're morphing into a fashion model. I'm only a little jealous... yeah, little...

I want Fall!! I thought I would get it in Germany and then apparently I brought a heat wave over with me. It left with me as well. What luck.

I too LOVE the click of my boots on the wet pavement! And the chill in the crisp mornings. :) Great post, friend! When I went to tailgate last weekend, I noticed that the college campus already has MANY trees starting to change. I got SO excited!

As for staying warm, I live in some fabulous LL Bean wool socks I found last year. I have three pairs and um.. I look ridiculous in them b/c I think they're men's socks.. haha. But when I'm at home, that's what I wear! And I also love to wear scarves all the time this time of year! They're PERFECT for layering!!

I LOOOOVE getting to wear my comfy sweaters and scarves and having chai lattes from Starbucks. I am always so sad to see summer end but then I see the beautiful leaves and feel the crisp air and all is well again!

im soooo jealous of EVERYTHING you just posted!

my favorite way to stay warm is sweatpants (im a bum) and slipper socks. for some reason at christmas i get like 50 pairs or slipper socks from people...so i never have to buy them on my own. i always complain that is all i get, but my toes are ALWAYS warm because of it :)
