Okay, so I know many fellow bloggers and some friends of mine don’t particularly care for Ashley the Bachelorette. I, personally, do kind of like her and have taken a real liking to her style this past season. Well, most outfits at least. One of those outfits was the one she wore on a date with cute, little Constantine.
Not only was it a maxi dress, but it was tri-colored tie-dye. Not hippie tie-dye, but instead a more modern, block tie-dye. It was fun and comfy looking and paired perfectly with a nice belt. She looked fabulous. So, in honor of our newly-engaged bachelorette I’m linking up with the talented {av} over at {long distance loving} to show you the maxi outfit I’ve come up with!
Tye dye dress, $126
Kat Maconie sandals, $150
FOSSIL satchel bag, $208
Chan luu jewelry, $195
Lucky Brand peacock jewelry, $35
Linda Farrow quilted shades, $353
Yves Saint Laurent Pure Chromatics Wet and Dry Eye Shadow - 20, $48
I’m actually pretty surprised that I was able to find a maxi dress so similar to Ashley’s. Though the colors are different, the material and shape seem to be about the same – a little blousy at the top but fitted enough to not be “baggy.” I also love the sleek back of the dress! The dress I chose comes with a fabric belted waist but I’m sure, if you wanted to, you could replace it with a thicker, more substantial belt like the one Ashley is wearing.
I kept the accessories pretty neutral to bring out the nice cream tones in the dress. I picked some modern Roman sandals to keep the look casual but classy. The satchel bag can be worn either across the body or perched on the elbow {my favorite way to carry handbags!} I love the feel of the stacked beading in the bracelet – organic and stylish. Lastly, I adore earrings like the ones I’ve included. I am just loving leaf-like shapes and patterns along with the use of different metals.
This outfit would be great either for a day out and about in the Summer sun or perhaps even on a nice beach date as Ashley so stylishly showed us!
What do you think about the tie-dye maxi dress? Are you digging it or do you think it’s something that should be left in the hippie days? :)

lovin' that maxi dress, i don't think it is too hippy. i just think it can be hard to wear a maxi dress especially in this terrible heat {ewww}. but i adore Ashley too :] {despite what some may think} -- she is adorable!
I say Leave it for the Hippies!
I'm all about the hippie inspired look.. as long as the hippiness is balanced out with some modern, girly pieces. It looks like you were able to balance out hippy and girly with the accessories you picked :)
I really like the whole look

No comments on the bachelorette as I don't have TV...
Love her style and would literally kill for her body. She did annoy me at times, but I started to like her more at the end. Her clothes were to die all season though. The outfit you picked out is perfecto! GIVE ME!
