My Happy Place

Many of us have a place we have visited often. A place full of memories. A place where you can look back at yourself through the years and see the change; the growth.

San Diego is that place for me.

It started one Christmas season years ago when I went out to visit my brother. That trip honestly changed my life. It opened up my eyes to this beautiful place - a vibrant city right there on the edge of the coast. My love for San Diego grew visit after visit. I just couldn't get enough :)

It is truly my happy place. Looking back on these pictures is a vivid reminder of that.

Early [very early] tomorrow morning I'll be jetting off to that favorite town of mine. To explore, to relax, to take care of some business, to meet friends, and to make new memories. This time, it'll be as a brunette, too :)

I'll be able to look back on all these wonderful memories and years above, and toward all the memories to come. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time to re-visit my happy place. It'll be my first time visiting alone. Me, myself, and I. Follow along with me during my travels on Instagram! [@chelseasunset]

So, tell me, friends... what is your happy place? Far away like mine, or right in your own backyard?

Don't forget to link-up your Project Inspire card swap posts here tomorrow! :)

One day, I'm going to SD with you! I want it to be my happy place too! I'm dying to visit that part of the country and, after everything you've told me about it, I know it's amazing! Have fun, sweet friend! I'll be following along and being jealous :)

Ugh, I can't wait to visit SD one day! I think my happy place is Hilton Head Island.... family vacations there growing up, then my husband and I took our 1-year anniversary trip there. Love that beach!!

SD is one of my happy places too! I have no idea how many times I went there growing up, and then Leo and I went there for our honeymoon. I love it. If you get a chance, make the 30 minute drive north to Oceanside and check it out- cutest little coastal town ever!

Have fun! I have never been to SD, but it's definitely on my list of places to visit. Some of my happiest places are the beach, Charleston and Savannah. It's amazing how some places make you feel so relaxed and at peace. Enjoy every moment of your trip, and we can't wait for pics! :)

Is it crazy that my happy place is London? I used to live abroad, and visited London quite a few times. (Insert fake British accent here...) I fancy it quite so! But now, alas, I am back in America, and I think it will be a while before I get back to jolly old England.

Glad to see you get to visit your place soon!

I love San Diego! I visited for the first time last fall and it was so much fun! I could definitely see myself living there if it wasn't so far away from my family..
My happy place is a small cottage by a lake in New Hampshire. It's so peaceful and beautiful. I don't get there nearly often enough

My happy place is Cape Cod, Massachusetts, where I've spent the last eight summers, even with living halfway across the country from it for the last two years!
I hope you have a great time in San Diego!
