I Need Your Help and Journey Forward

It's been a month since we've had a Journey Forward link-up! If you're new to the blog, it's a link-up I started about a word we've chosen for ourselves to work toward throughout the year. I've posted prompts that will get you thinking and really reach deep to continue growing in the direction you want to go. Anyone can join in!

Today, the prompt is to pat yourself on the back for something you've done or accomplished to get you closer to your year's goal!

For me, and working toward my word "become," I'm proud of myself for going after my dreams whole-heartedly. I think I have officially accomplished one of my smaller goals [which you can read about here] to stop planning and start DOING. It's one thing to think about and plan what you want to accomplish but my goal was to put those things into action. As many of you know, I started my own jewelry business on Etsy called After Sunset [enter the giveaway to win a bracelet here!] It's something that I had wanted to do for so long but I finally did what it took to get it started. I'm still learning what works and what doesn't but I did it!

More recently, I signed up for a class. This class is extremely important to me and quite a big deal because it will help me get closer to accomplishing a dream I've had since I was a young girl. More on that as it progresses. I know, I know... you probably want specifics :)
The point is, I'm proud of myself for finally working towards my real and true DREAMS. Not putting them off anymore or talking myself out of it. I'm not holding back. Life is just too short.

*I will be posting the next prompt within the next month, so check back once the time gets closer* Feel free to join in on the fun and link-up below!

On another note, I know I can turn to my bloggy friends for advice on pretty much anything. Well, I need your help. Where are all my make-up lovers?
I'm in the market for a new concealer!

For the last year or so, I have been using the e.l.f Essential Tone Correcting Concealer. $1.00. What a steal.

But I can't say that I am in love with it. Sure, it's only a dollar but it doesn't seem to last very long.
Also, the coverage leaves more to be desired.

That's where you all come in! What concealer is your favorite? I'm looking for something that will help with the whole under-eye area [because many times life is too busy to sleep much] and any redness.

Let me know in the comments below what I should try next :) Can't wait to see what you think!

*Have you entered my giveaway yet? You have a chance to win a bracelet of your choice from my Etsy Shop, After Sunset!*

I am all about cover girl concealer, in the stick. Because of my oily skin, the concealers in the tubes wear off a lot quicker. It's more pricey of course, but I love cover girl!

THE BEST concealer of all time is Hard Candy Glamoflage Concealer (Walmart). Its the #1 and I'll never use another one. It costs about $5 for a tube that lasts FOREVER (I mean it, its been almost a year and I have a ton left still). Its a clay like consistancy and covers everything, I even used it to cover a tattoo once.
But it blends in so well too!

I did not love the ELF concealer either... I hear great things about Neutrogena's though so I am thinking about buying it on my next Target trip :)

Smashbox high definition concealer, Clea de peu (worth every dollar! the feel and look of it are in-sane!), and Hourglass hidden corrective concealer. Definitely my top three choices!

I use boing by Benefit and love it! A bit expensive (definitely more than a dollar ;) ) But it works well for under-eyes... I don't sleep enough too!!

I use the L'Oreal True Match blendable concealer. At about $8 it's a price I can live with, it works well for me, and it lasts forever. I know you're supposed to switch out your makeup every 6 months or so (that's the rule right?) but honestly I buy it once a year. I generally just use it under my eyes and love that a little goes a long way and it covers up my toddler-induced under eye circles without creasing throughout the day or looking cakey.

I just bought that concelear a couple of weeks ago and I agree... it's not the greatest. The eyelid primer is a bit better, though :)

I use Clinique's All About Eyes Concealer. (It works all over your face too, not just eyes, but it's really good about covering up dark circles under your eyes). I love this stuff! I think it's about $15 for a tube, but mine has lasted me for a while because a little goes a long way!

You are rocking, friend! I'm so happy that you were able to make your dreams come true and are staying focused and going after what you really want! What an inspiration! Keep it, woman, because it's paying off :)

For the undereye area, I really like the Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark-Circle Eye Roller. It has caffeine in it, I think, which also helps with puffiness!

That's so great you make goals & go after them! Get it girl! I use smash box products for cover up. I tried MAC once but it made me break out big time so be aware. They also have great natural products at the body shop. I use alot of those too!

I'm in love with the Revlon Age Rewind concealer! It goes on extremely smoothly, and it covers reeeeally well too! It comes in different shades, as well as an "illuminator" shade, which is a pinky shade that brightens the under eye. Love it love it love it
