Anyway, while obsessing over my favorite decade, I do quite a bit of reminiscing which leads into me laughing hysterically until my eyes sometimes tear up. I know what you're thinking - you want in on the fun. Lucky for you, I like to share :) Let me know what your favorites are!

The Good Ole Days | Vol. Two
It’s time. Time for a flashback to my favorite decade – the 90’s. For those who may be new here, I’m a total 90’s girl. The 90’s was the first full decade of my life. I was old enough to wear jellies, slap bracelets, my favorite songs were most likely by The Real McCoy, and my favorite TV show was Full House . Since I have such a passion for the tackiest and most hilarious years in history, I’ll be doing this series to share some of my favorite bits and pieces. Maybe I’ll start a link-up for this? After all, I know I’m not the only 90’s lover!

I have a great story about how I wore my jellies. Remind me to tell you one day.

Best. Game. Ever. Well, Oregon Trail II was the bomb.

The only Christmas present I wanted in the 90’s. Especially in that silver jacket.
I have a little story for you before I share the last one. A couple weeks ago, my nephew was over visiting so we all went down in the basement and I turned on the Dance Central game for Kinect. In case you don’t know by now, the game has a ton of songs and dance moves that you’re told to mimic. While it’s not exactly “dancing” it’s a ton of fun and I decided to try out the dance to “Poison.”
Let me tell you… the dance moves were straight from 1990 and I was literally having the time of my life. You’ll have to try it to believe it. Yes, I know I’m a total nerd.
I decided I should bring back my dancing days and start taking classes again. This time, I’ll be taking old school hip-hop. I need to brush up on my Roger Rabbit. I’ll probably just go to a class I found some footage of on YouTube. Check it out here. Please watch the guy in front. He kills it.
Oh, I also got my hair cut yesterday which I’m pretty excited about. First time since April. Don’t worry – I didn’t get a bowl cut or huge, wispy bangs. I keep my hair cuts pretty current with the times. All I’ll say for now is that it was Lauren Conrad-inspired :)
Hope I left you with a fun trip down Memory Lane today!

The Good Ole Days | Vol. One
I think you’re in for a real treat today, or, at least a good laugh. I’m the kind of blogger who has a long list of “future posts” sitting and waiting to be checked off, yet, I can never choose which one to write so they never get posted. Today, FINALLY, I am going to start a series called The Good Ole Days. I love reminiscing about my childhood because, let’s admit it, the 90’s were the best {which is the decade where most of my childhood was spent.} I’ve gone back and found some of those memories.
If you weren’t a child of the 80’s and 90’s my apologies but maybe you’ll remember some of these too?
If you’re anything like me, you’ll get a KICK out of some of the goodies I’ve found.
The greatest game ever created.
”He likes most sports… {in a really quiet voice} except for baseball.” “I know who it is but I’m not telling. HA.HA.”
Despite what it may seem like, I haven’t played this game in two ten years, at least.
ZOOBILEE ZOO, anyone?! I watched this show religiously. Okay, I watched a lot of shows religiously when I was little. I always wanted to be the pink ballerina kangaroo. I mean, who wouldn’t?!
It’s hard to believe floppies used to be a way of life… and that people still use AOL {ahem, Mom! Love you!}
These were a fashion staple, duh.
Pretty sure I had this exact issue. Check out these dream boats!
Whatever happened to Surge? And, uh, Pepsi Blue? C’mon, that stuff was my favorite!
Did anyone have one of these phones? If so, I am super jealous :)
I’m grateful for growing up when I did. The world wasn’t perfect but life was good. I played outside. I loved call-waiting and having to put my other friend on hold but haaated when I still got the busy signal. I sharpened my pencils by cranking a wheel. I thought my dad’s car phone was THE coolest thing ever… besides wearing a scrunchie on my wrist, duh. And, when the Internet did magically come into existence, the dial-up modem took so long that I would rather be playing Dream Phone anyway.
I pray that my future kids don’t get lost in the technology that’s all around today. I hope they find the little things in life to appreciate too. Who knows, maybe I’ll brush the dust off my Dream Phone and hand it down to my daughter. {Knock on wood} Can I knock on wood about having a daughter? Did I just double-jinx it? Is that possible?? Ahhh!
