Take Me Back Tuesday

This post is long-overdue. This weekend was another reminder to me of how obsessed I am with my childhood. Growing up in the 80's and 90's has really defined who I am and so many of my memories are filled with the fads of those times. It's time for a nostalgia post where those of us from that era can reflect back on the best time ever. So, I've started a new feature called Take Me Back Tuesday! I probably won't be doing this every Tuesday but every so often instead :)

You know you loved B*Witched... for the one month their music was played. Their concert on Disney [with Five] was amazing and awesome. Confession: I still listen to this album on occasion.

Pardon the poor picture quality but this show was too good to pass up. It was about a ghost who communicated through a "team" of kids through reading and writing to solve mysteries. The coolest part of it all - the members of the team wore a special pen on a cord around their necks. Pretty sure I tried to do that a time or two. I remember this show made me want to use a computer.

The Pink Power Ranger. I wanted to be her and I'm sure you did too. Why was she SO cool? And it's not because she was pink.

Speaking of cool - why was this okay? Why did we tie every shirt around our waist? Jean jackets, windbreakers, flannel shirts. It was totally "rad." As were fanny packs but we won't even go there today.

Now, please tell me... were you guilty for loving any of the above? I know I can't be the only one!

hahah love these kind of post!! I was a B*witched fan also!
I went to a country concert with my sister in law a couple weekends ago. She is 9 years older than me with 2 kids. She brought a jean jacket in case it got cold later. She was tired of carrying it so she went to tie it around her waist. My heart sank! I may have accidently blurt out "whattt are you doinggg?" I had to save her!

Love this post! I really enjoyed B*Witched as well. I believe they were from Ireland, which is also cool. I probably still have that album somewhere..."C'est La Vie" is now playing in my head. LOL

Just your brief mention of Five was too much for me - I had to have a bit of a youtube-fest this afternoon. Best.band.ever (of the 90s, at least!) I loved them!

I wanted to be the yellow Power Ranger, but back when the yellow one was the Asian. You know, when they were politically incorrect and they chose colors based on race. Sigh.

The flannel shirt makes me laugh. I was out the other day and wondered if it was still acceptable to do that. When you post that picture they answer is clear, NO!

I remember learnign about B*Witched on the Disney Channel original movie, Smart House (back when now-super-fine Ryan Merriman was just a little lad!)...
I don't even want to talk about the fact that I went through a phase where I walked around when a pen-necklace to channel my inner ghost writer. I know what you're thinking; you wish you were as cool as me ;)
